Professional Counseling

Have you been feeling down, unmotivated, or stuck? Maybe you aren't exactly sure what your "problem" is, but you know that you need to make a change. You aren't living life to your full potential. Maybe you don't know what your full potential is?!  Or, you seem to “have it all” but you still aren’t fulfilled. I'm here to help. In a supportive and non-judgmental environment, I help clients understand what it is they want to change and create strategies to work through their challenges. I use an eclectic approach including: Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Executive Function Coaching (ADHD Coaching)

School or work challenges can take over your life and lead to feelings of self-defeat. You may have been labeled "lazy" or "unmotivated" in the past for not completing your work. You're not lazy. Executive Functioning Deficits can block you from reaching your full potential. Executive Functions are a set of processes that have to do with self-regulation and managing your ideas or resources in a way that help you achieve your goal (work project or homework assignment for example). When you have a deficit in Executive Functions, it can be difficult to know where to begin or how to break down a larger task into smaller tasks that eventually lead to completion. Executive Function Coaching can help! We will break down your projects and strategize ways to complete them. This is not a hands off coaching process. We work through your projects together. Some areas that we will work on are:

  • Time Management

  • Planning and Organization

  • Task Completion

  • Note Taking

  • Overall Learning Strategies (and working memory skills)
